Recap from Cohen's first birthday... Really we did not do anything special. My parents flew into town on Tuesday to help celebrate and get some time with Cohen in his element instead of us coming to Seattle. We simply had cake at around 8 our time, had my sister on the web cam so she could say she saw him eat his cake, (we are web cam junkies, Cohen is going to think the Jerome family lives inside a computer!) Jeremy on video and me behind the camera while Gramma and Grumpa gauked at Cohen. We didn't even do presents because Cohen was so exhausted by the time we got the cake cleaned off him that he was ready for bed. All-in-all it was a simple bday but I think he got it, or at least got that he was the center of attention, yet again.

A celebration marking a year of life is so exciting for both child and parents. It is so hard to believe a year really has gone by. Go check your emails Lish ... Cohen has a gift from us! Glad your parents are present to celebrate his big day. Living in a camera is great for those of us that can't be there ... sure wish we could have been though.
