Just Chillin'

This is classic Cohen so far... He is so laid back and chill unless you are attempting to take off his diaper or clothing for a change or if he is hungry, then he will let you have it. Otherwise he is super subdued. I think he gets that trait from his father!

On this day last week he was wide awake when I put him on the changing table. I bent over to grab a wipe and diaper to come up and find him like this. I could not resist taking a picture of it. He was out cold in a matter of seconds.

3 Weeks Old Today!

All of these pictures were taken today... Cohen is officially three weeks old!

Cohen is three weeks old today... kind of sad since he has changed so much already. Before you know it he will be headed off to college to serial date and do keg stands.

Two Peas in a Pod!

So Cohen is going through a little phase. He will not sleep unless he is being held. Yup, even at night. Great!!!! I couldn't wait to come home from the hospital and sleep on my stomach after being pregnant for nine months and then I get a baby who will only sleep if you are holding him close to your chest. We are working on getting him to sleep in his bassinet and/or crib at night but right now if you put him down in one of them he wakes up 5 minutes later. I cannot wait to sleep on my belly. But for now, no tummy time for me.

The above picture is a classic around our house right now. Jeremy loves to have Cohen close to him. They often nap together which Jeremy eats up! These two not only look alike but also sleep alike.

Koda Finally Loves Cohen

So, Koda was not sure what to think of Cohen at first. She made it pretty clear to me that she wanted him to go back to where he came from. But after almost two weeks I think she likes him, or at least is interested in him.

He Looks Nothing Like

Had I not actually given birth to this child I would not know he is mine. He looks nothing like me and everything like Jeremy!

Come Back Grandma and "Grumpy"

Bridge doing yard work

Jeremy and Ken putting together the bbq

Jeremy and I wanted to thank my parents for all the work they put in while they were here. They were such a big help. We had so many little projects that had gone undone with being pregnant, working and just plain old unorganized.

Bridge got the yard looking great with my Dad's help. She cut back the overgrown ivy, trimmed hedges, shrubs and trees. She also helped tidy the house, attempt to hang shelves, worked on our front door, cooked... I miss her already.

My Dad helped out a ton. He and Jeremy put together the bbq the first night in town. Dad also, helped in the yard, attempted to organize the garage by hanging peg boards. We have a long way to go but now we have a start. He fixed a broken piece of the fence, put together our weed eater, and made sure our power washer was up and running.

Jeremy and I miss you guys already so come back soon!

Proud Grandparents!

Grandpa Ken or "Grumpy" as I like to call him

Grammy Kate, Jeremy and Cohen

Grandma, Grumpy and Cohen

Since May 7th we have had grandparents in town. That would explain the lack of posting updates to the blog. Kate arrived in town on May 7th, and was able to see Cohen while he was in the hospital. She stayed through Mother's Day, then flew back to Seattle on the 12th

My parents arrived on May 11th after a long day of travel on the 10th that led to them missing their connecting flight in Denver. They had to stay the night in Denver so instead of arriving on the 10th they arrived on the 11th... Just in time for Mother's Day!

Needless to say both sets of grandparents adore Cohen!

Cohen Goes Home - 5.7.08

Can't say Cohen was happy about being strapped in to the car seat for his ride home from the hospital. We left the hospital Wednesday night with Grandma Kate along for the ride and Jill waiting at the house for us.

Headed To The Hospital To Deliver Cohen

So here is the scoop... We are headed to the hospital tonight to start the induction process. Cohen is doing great however he is still weighing in about three weeks behind schedule at under 6 lbs so just to be safe they are wanting to deliver. So, we are hoping to have a baby by tomorrow. I will be sure to post as soon as I get the chance.

The Weekend Before The Baby...

So we spent the weekend getting the house ready for Cohen's arrive. When we heard on Friday that there was a good chance we would be induced on Monday or Tuesday we started really digging in and preparing the house for Cohen's arrival and the arrival of Jeremy's mom on Wednesday and then my parents on Saturday. We will hopefully have a grand baby for both grandma's for Mother's Day!

Just wanted to share these adorable photos I took tonight of Jeremy's friends new baby, Ava. She is 4 days old. It makes me want Cohen here now!

Check Out That Belly!

There is not much to blog about... However I did want to share a picture Jeremy took last night of my belly. After our Tuesday doctors appointment it really hit me that this is almost over. I am starting to get a little sentimental, as for I have gotten attached to my new belly. It might just be one of the coolest things ever. Its almost surreal to think that there is a little person it there. Every kick, and shift in position reminds me that there is a little guy in there and he is mine, part of me. Its crazy really!
