38 Week Appointment

38 weeks means we have exactly 14 days until Cohen's due date. After today's weekly appointment we just want him here.

We had a bit of a scare at the doctor's today... First off my belly is measuring about 4 weeks smaller than it should be so that prompted the doctor  to perform an ultra sound to check on Cohen's development. They were looking to see if he is developing proportionally and they wanted to check to see if there was enough fluid in the placenta for him. So basically, they were checking to see if his home was a proper environment for him to continue to live in. Both his development and his home checked out great so basically Cohen is just a little guy. Nothing more, nothing less. He is weighing around 5.5 to 5.9lbs . I go to the doctor again on Friday and if I have progressed they may decide to induce just to be safe.

The picture on the right is of me, with the heart rate monitors on. They were checking out Cohen's heartbeat, etc. just to be safe.

We are both just happy he is healthy and that he will have a little more tummy time to get bigger and stronger. Look for new 4d ultrasound pictures soon! We have a couple from today to share.

Baby Shower

I just wanted to write a quick post thanking Jill and Jen for the baby shower they threw for me this past weekend. Jill has become a little domesticated now a days and slightly Martha Stewartish. As seen by her very cute baby face cake.

I plan on posting more photos when I have some more time. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came and thank you all for your generous gifts. You are all such great friends!

Cohen's Crib... Finally!

Yeah! We finally repainted Cohen's room and put together his crib. Here are the pics to prove it. I never thought we would get the crib put together. I ordered it two months ago and we just got it about a week and a half ago. We are still waiting for his dresser, however I do not expect that to arrive until after Cohen is born. Oh well...

I can confirm that I am nesting. I am kind of crazy acting really. I start to work on odd projects around the house at odd times of the day and night. It is driving me crazy, and Jeremy too. I guess that just means I am truly getting closer to Cohen actually making his appearance!

Big Belly! - 36 Weeks

Alicia - 36 weeks in her muu muu!

Alicia 36 weeks and pretty much all belly!

Durby Days = 36 Weeks Pregnant

So, Jeremy and I traveled to Hot Springs for the weekend to go to the horse races with Nate (w/ Jeremy right), his girlfriend Courtney, and his parents Gary and Sandy.

I am known as Jeremy's unlucky charm... he has never won on scratch tickets, or a friendly bet, or at the casino when I am around so why would the races be any different. He has all the luck in the world when I am not around. Like the time he won a trip to Jamaica for making a lay-up, free throw, and a three pointer at half time of a Sonic's game back in 2000. Yeah, he won and took Ryan Brown as my punishment for the luck I never seem to bring him.  I still say that I would have looked better in a bikini on the beach in Jamaica than Ryan but I understand. After all Ryan was at the game with Jeremy. I may just be the most unlucky Irish person ever.

We didn't win on a single horse. However we did enjoy Nate's steaks and Courtney's pancakes as well as the lake. Jeremy also took a few pics of my ever expanding belly. It does not help my big belly that in one of the pics I am pretty much wearing a muu muu. I wish someone would have told me how frumpy I looked. Then again I am pregnant so I guess I look frumpy in what ever I am wearing.

Enjoy the pics of my belly... I may not show too many more!

One Month and Counting!

It is April 13, 2008 and I am exactly a month away from Cohen's due date. Jeremy and I both wanted to start blogging about the last month leading up to Cohen's delivery. I will do my best to post everyday and share pictures as well. I will also do my best to get Jeremy to post too, but don't hold your breath!
