Jealous of His Back Side!
Is it okay to be jealous of this little guys back side? Well I am! Just look at how perfectly round and perky it is... I wish it were mine.
(note to all... these pictures were taken today. That is right, outside naked in late November. The weather has been perfect and warm! Those who ask why are you in Arkansas? Well today was one reason way. Birthday suit in the backyard on November 28th! That can't be beat)

Came and Went... Seattle
Playing with Logan Powell
Above are all photos from our latest trip to Seattle to visit family and of course some friends. The first picture made the entire trip worth it. If that was the only photo I got, it wouldn't have bothered me. Isabel is my best friend's (all the way back to grade school) little one. I love that we have this picture. Kelly and I were two peas in a pod up until we parted ways to go to college. I will always wish I would have just gone to WSU with her but I am happy with how life turned out... just look at the two of them in the tub together, how could I not be?
The others are of family and Nathan, one of my best friends from jr. high and high school and the last one of Cohen with Logan, well Logan's mom and I reconnected after years of not seeing each other. She and I were in brownies together! That was a long time ago. Do they even have brownies anymore?
We had a great trip as usual. I think this marks trip 8 in 18 months. That would be a total of 32 different airplanes for Cohen. (2 planes each way) I have a jet setter! He is more traveled than most of us and he is only 18 months. Oh, he did great on the flights too... despite one fit.

A Year and A Half
Today Cohen turns a year and a half (18 months)! I know I say this often but seriously time flies by.
I often sit and imagine what life would be like without Cohen. I left behind a wonderful job at the University of Minnesota to be a mom, moved to Arkansas to be a mom, left behind my pre-baby body to be a mom (by the way I miss it), and left behind sleep and the freedom to go anywhere do anything on a whim to be a mom. All the sacrificing is worth it. Without a doubt!
When I am exhausted I try to imagine myself somewhere other than here or what I am doing but right now. When I start to imagine my mind just goes back to Cohen. I just can't imagine life anywhere else but with him. Now if I could imagine myself on a tropical beach and I could, I would just be playing with Cohen on that beach or if I try to imagine myself back in Minnesota chasing my career shooting a football game I could but it would be with Cohen in tow on the sideline hanging out with Jeremy. Sure I can imagine myself somewhere else other than here or what I am doing now but I can never imagine myself solo... I just cannot!
Cohen is just the right fit for me and if I could fit him in my pocket and take him everywhere, forever I would!
Just a little side note. Our old gal, Koda, turned 11 in October. She does not get enough respect on this blog. Some 2 years bc (before Cohen, not Christ) Koda was numeral uno. She was my everything... still is but just different. She has been the best dog. So great actually that I will probably never get another because no other dog will be able to hold a candle to her. She loves Cohen despite his ear pulling, pushing, hitting with golf clubs or him trying to ride her and hug her. Most of all she still loves me despite me bringing Cohen home to ruin her perfect dog life. She is just the best. So here is to you old gal... Happy belated 11th birthday. Thanks for being the best friend I have ever had!

Happy Birthday
As I sit here in the warm 70 degree fall sun I think about how much I miss my mom and wish I had her closer to me. I am selfish, I want her all to myself.... no I also just want Cohen to know her and know how wonderful she is. I would be cheating him if he did not get that chance.
Happy birthday the best gramma and mom I know. She is selfless, patient, and kind. I love her more than she knows!

Where Does The Time Go?
This time last year Cohen was a week shy of 6 months. He weighed 13 pounds and was 26.5 inches. He was such a tiny, smiley little guy. Now look at him. He is a kid... weighing 24 pounds and measuring 33 inches in height! When your pregnant and when you first have a baby all these old people come up to you and say "enjoy it, they grow up so fast". I always hated hearing that, it was annoying! Pregnancy can never go fast enough and then you are in such a rush to meet each milestone with a baby but seriously they do grow so fast. Just look at my little porcupine a year later, its proof, those old people were right! Uhh... so sad how fast they grow!

Video Catch Up
So the first video is of Cohen on the web cam with uncle "T". It goes without saying how much Cohen loves his uncle "T". It makes my heart feel good when I see the giant smile that Tommy brings to Cohen's face and Cohen's to Tommy's. Cohen always want to show off for TJ. He wants T to think he is so cool. I love how Cohen can get Tommy to act so uninhibited and kid like. They both are fun to watch together.
The second video is of my little photog in the making. What have I created? The third is of Jeremy asking Cohen to give Gramma a kiss (aka as my mom, Bridget)
Thought the videos were just a good way to see what Cohen is like in "real life" not just pictures. Pictures of Halloween to follow soon. I am just behind!
