For no other reason then they make me happy when I see them together!

{Cute} Porcupine
Pneumonia
via iPhone
Sunday afternoon Cohen woke from his nap with a fever of 104 and shallow breathing. Me being the laid back parent thought lets just wait and see. Figuring a little Motrin would just break the fever. However, Dad had a different approach... The er! So we decided to get Gramma on the webcam and if she thought we should take him to the er then we would. Of course we were going to the er all along anyway since that is what Jeremy wanted but he knows how to make me feel part of the decision. My mom thought to be safe since we were headed into night to just take him in. So she broke the tie and in we went. Good thing we went with dad's first gut...
After spending 6 freakin hours at the er, (someone explain why it has to take that long!), throwing up in the exam room and a chest xray (which was mid evil torture for C) and hours of wearing those silly masks that they say don't even work, we discovered that Cohen has a mild case of pneumonia. We kept him out of his morning school Monday and will do so tomorrow. This case of pneumonia must be pretty mild because he seems back to his normal high energy self!

The Moore's
To see more of the Moore's click HERE. We ventured out on what turned out to be a great fall day. Poor little Hadley (1 yr) had a runny nose and didn't feel herself. She hung in there though and I was able to get some great shots!

My Muse!
I just love him... Love him to death! Cohen that is. Okay, Jeremy too!
Today we took Cohen to a book fair and on the way we stopped by some tracks to try out a new photography prop, the red box! I have not done a true formal shoot with him in forever so this is long overdue. To check out more click HERE.

She Loves Her Pink Leopard Print & Feathers!
My sister, Michaelanne, sent me this photo in an email today. Here is what her email said....
My co-workers are amazing. Look what they did for me while I was away. I know you are jealous! I would be too if it weren't mine. Who knew I'd love pink leopard print and feathers? (I did) :)

My sister travels to Europe for weeks on end at work a couple of times a year. So while she was gone this last trip they did this for her. I guess they love her and think she is as awesome as I do. I have the best sister ever!
This Past Week
These pictures are from this last week. Cohen started "school" a week ago. He goes Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings for a few hours so he is only home all day on Tuesday's and Thursday's. Despite a little separation anxiety when I drop him off he seems to love it. I am working on opening up a studio and I see clients Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays now. School seems to be a good thing all around. Its good to have a little me time and its great for Cohen to be with other kids his own age. Although I do spend my days wondering what Cohen is doing, if he is okay and wondering if he misses me. I am sure that will pass with time.
The pictures I posted really sum up a week with this kid. He is so funny. The only pictures missing are of him in his boots with just his diaper on. He does that about 10 times a day and the boots usually are on the wrong feet. Mr. Independent you know! Without Cohen I would smile less :)

Videos of Cohen
These videos are just for fun. One if of Cohen doing one of his favorites... golf. Jeremy bought him a real set of irons about a week ago and he loves going to the backyard and taking hacks at the ball. The last video is from our trip to Seattle in September. It is of uncle "T", aka uncle Tommy and Cohen dancing. Tommy will probably kill me but I think it is really cute and Cohen is obsessed with his uncle "T". Even naming a two inch plastic toy man figure "T". By the way my brother is single if anyone is interested. How could you pass on a date with a guy that is willing to dance like this with his 16 month old nephew? I mean really!

17 Months
I was sick all last week as I noted in the last post. I was too sick to post about Cohen turning 17 months old. Above are a couple of his 17 month portraits. The last image is of Cohen and Hadley. They are a little over 4 months apart. Hadley is so tiny that she makes Cohen look large, despite his small frame. I have a picture of Cohen and Hadley together just a few weeks after Hadley was born so it was fun to get a shot of them one year later together. Hadley's dad is Jeremy's business partner which has made for our families to become close. It will be fun to watch these two grow up together.
BUSY ME
I have been busy being sick, busy editing photos, busy being a mom, and busy working on a business plan and new photography website & blog. Despite all the being busy excuses I wanted to share a few more great shots from a wedding I shot back in September that I am almost finished editing. Click HERE for more images. Enjoy...

Past Due
So this post is over due... okay try a month past due! While I was home in Seattle visiting family back in September I had close friend and photographer, Jocelyn Whitsell (aka Jocelyn Brown) take Cohen and my portraits. This was so important to me since I am always behind the lens. It goes without saying that Jocelyn's pictures were wonderful and I will cherish them for a lifetime.
Thanks Joc. To check out more pictures from our session click here! I recommend using Jocelyn but of course that's only if I am not in town! ;)
