This Time Last Year

Now: 17 months (1 week shy of...)

5 months

5 months (one week shy of...)

I am about a week early but what the heck... The above is one of Cohen's 17 month portraits. That is right! 17 months... Time really does go by fast. This time last year Cohen was only 5 months and was such a tiny little guy. He only weighed 13 lbs 10 oz. He was sitting on his own then and rolling over but that was about it. Boy, how things have changed!

Now he is weighing 23.5 lbs and is 32.5 in tall. He is so active, and so happy. He finally has four teeth and is working on another four more that I can see popping threw. He loves to hit the ball, throw the ball, watch Cookie Monster, watch any sport with Dad, especially Tiger Woods! He enjoys blueberries and raspberries, the web cam with the grandparents, and playing inside and outside from dusk until dawn. He is always moving, always doing something and he is very independent. You ask him to carry something, he will. Go get something and he will do that too. He even helps me clean! (he gets that from me, certainly not Jeremy!) He changes so much everyday. It will fun to see where he will be at this time next year!

{Silly}

Its no secret... Cohen is his own person! A silly one at that. I love that about him. Maybe with his unique since of style he will be on the cover of GQ or something! Until then he is my fashion model. He loves his new boots and wears them everywhere. Notice the two top teeth? Yup, those are new too!

Poor Bride

So it has almost been two months since Jocelyn tied the knot and still she has not received a single wedding image from me. This is not normal for me. Usually it is about 4-6 weeks after a wedding that I get the bride and groom their images. So what is taking so long... It could be that I took more shots at this wedding than any other wedding I have shot before. (I think I took over 2,000) It probably is more like I have just put her off... between traveling to Seattle twice, selling, closing and moving from our house with only 14 days to pull it off and just being a full time mom, part-time photographer, and whatever else is left to do whatever else it is that I do, I put Jocelyn off. Until now... I finished editing her images and they are in the mail to her! So just to make nice I wanted to post two handfuls of images for her. These are to tide her over until her cds arrive! Still one of my favorite weddings to date so enjoy.

Raspberry Picking

Look at this face... it cracks me up! He was enjoying himself so much!

On Sunday Cohen and I went raspberry picking with his girlfriends and their mom's Sarah and Becca. We spent the afternoon picking berries and playing. As you can see from the pictures above Cohen LOVED it! I think he ate an entire pint straight from the bushes himself. Raspberries are now giving blueberries a close run from first place on Cohen's list of favorite foods to devour!

Pap Smear!

Q: So what is worse than having to go get your yearly pap smear?

A: Having your 16 month old with you while you have it done!

Seriously, my advice to all my friends with kids is to get a baby sitter! Cohen was swinging and hanging from the stirrups at one point. Gross... I came home and gave him a bleach bath! The nurses at the clinic were nice saying "oh, women bring their kids along all the time, don't worry." I am convinced they were lying to me just to be nice.

What was I thinking? Probably I wish I had a nanny and I cannot believe that this is my life!

Little Lily {Newborn}

Check out Lily! She makes me want a little girl... I loaded the car, grabbed Cohen and headed down to Little Rock to meet this little one and her family for their photoshoot. Cohen said with his God Momma Jill and I headed out to shoot. Lily was the perfect client, sleeping half the session. Made for some great "baby molding". I so wish all my newborn clients were this easy! Check out more from this session by clicking here.
